Q. What is the ETFO Event Management System?.

A. The ETFO Event Management System (EMS) is a web-based platform that provides users with the latest event information. It allows users to self-manage their in-progress events, access their event history, and generate reports. Contained within the EMS is the MyETFO Portal.

Q. What is the MyETFO Portal?

A. The MyETFO Portal is a secure area for registered users of the ETFO Event Management System. It will provide users with up-to-date personal information, secure communications, and controlled access to ETFO systems and services. The goal of the MyETFO Portal is to empower users to self-manage their ETFO information and to provide a more efficient communication channel with ETFO head office.

Q. How do I access the MyETFO Portal?

A. In order to access the MyETFO Portal you must be a registered user of the Event Management System and therefore you will need to create an account. To do this, click on “Member” or “Non-Member” account in the bottom-right area of the screen at events.etfo.org/login. To register for a member account, you will need your ETFO Member ID number and the middle three digits of your SIN. Follow the prompts to create your account. Once you have created your account, record the username (email address), and the password created. You will need this information every time you access the site. If you are having difficulties, there is a more detailed document located here. Please also remember to record your security questions and answers as you may need these if you forget your password.

Q. What is my ETFO member ID and how do I find it?

A. Your member ID is a unique number assigned to you by ETFO in order to track your membership information. It can be found on your ETFO Membership Card. If you do not know your ETFO Member ID, you can obtain it by:

Q. What browsers are supported?.

A. For the Mac: Safari Version 7.0.6, Firefox Version 30, Chrome Version 37.0

For the PC: IE10, IE11, Firefox Version 30, Chrome Version 37.0

Q. I have tried signing up with my member ID and 3 middle digits of my SIN, and I keep getting an error, what should I do?.

A. Contact the MyETFO Portal Help Team at 416-962-3836 or 1-888-838-3836 ext 3827 or email us at events@etfo.org.

Q. I received an error message when trying to create my account.

A. Try refreshing your browser page (F5).

Q. What if I forget my password?

A. There is a “Forgot your password” link on the EMS login page. This will take you to a screen where you can enter your username and then will be asked for the answer to one of the security questions you entered when creating your account. Answer the question correctly and an e-mail containing a password reset will be sent to the email address you used as your username. Please do not copy and paste the password given to you as the system will not recognize it unless you type it it.

Q. I forgot my member ID. How can I retrieve it?

Q. I have started my registration/application, how do I modify it?

A. To modify your registration, login to the site and navigate to https://events.etfo.org/my-etfo.  In the upper right corner of your screen, click on MY EVENTS.  All of the events you have registered for are listed.  Click the one you wish to modify and then, click the MODIFY REGISTRATION button.
